On Sunday November 10th, 2019, Ronald Eugene Hamilton passed away suddenly, but peacefully.
Ron was born on August 18th, 1956; beloved son of the late Gladys Hamilton and Earl “Ray” Hamilton; survived by his loving son, Ronald Earl Hamilton; very loving former wife Beverly Hamilton; caring step-father to Michelle Benner and the late Karla Benner; beloved brother of Gary Hamilton, Greg Hamilton and the late Randy Hamilton; loving brother-in-law of Phyllis Hamilton; loving brother of Robin Engles and her husband Jim; also survived by several nieces, nephews, loving family, friends and his loyal canine companion Molly.
“Ron”, as he was known to many of his friends, worked for many years in building maintenance though he was a Master Carpenter by trade. In his earlier years he enjoyed using his wood-working skills to make gifts for his family and friends.
Before retiring the first time, he dedicated over 30 years to the State of MD at UMBC and then another 10 years at Johns Hopkins Hospital before he retired a second time.
Ron was a simple man that kept to himself as years went by. Throughout his lifetime he enjoyed spending time with many of his lifelong friends, playing softball, camping, and Ocean City trips. He was also an avid fan of the Baltimore Ravens and the Baltimore Orioles.
He was known to send “mystery” Amazon packages of random thoughtful things to his family. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed a good laugh.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 14th, from 2pm-4pm & 6pm-8pm. Services will immediately follow at 8pm on November 14th, at Hubbard Funeral Home, INC, 4107 Wilkens Ave, Baltimore, MD 21229.
In lieu of flowers please make a donation in his honor to The Special Olympics or The American Heart Association.
Interment will be private.
