Tribute
On May 9, 2018, William J. Keys, Sr. was welcomed in Heaven by his parents, Evelyn and Robert Keys, Sr., two brothers, Robert Keys, Jr. and Howard Keys, Sr., two sisters, Joyce Bonnette and Darlene Kukulka, and furbabies, Muffin, Amanda, and J.P. His legacy of love lives on with his wife, Margaret Keys; children, Jo-Ann Orem and her husband, Robert, Evelyn Thurmond and her husband, Steve, and Billy Keys, Jr.; grandson, Justin Orem and his wife, Sarina; granddaughter, Theresa Metlenko and her husband, Marcus; great grandchildren, Samantha McGrady, Alli Orem, Mikayla Metlenko, and Avery Metlenko; brother, Richard Keys, Sr. and his wife, Karen; furbaby, Sunshine; and many nieces, nephews, brother and sister in laws, and cousins. William was a proud member of the Lansdowne Fire Department for 27+ years. He was the kind of guy who could fix anything, or at least try to. He enjoyed spending time at the beach, fishing in both fresh water and salt, cooking and camping with his family, and adventures in casinos. He most enjoyed his time with his grandchildren and later great grandchildren. William had an extreme sweet tooth that he indulged with chocolate milkshakes and fudge.
William rests at the family operated HUBBARD FUNERAL HOME, INC., 4107 Wilkens Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21229 on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 from 3-5 & 7-9pm. His funeral service will be held on Wednesday in the funeral home at 11am. Interment to follow in Lake View Memorial Park. Flowers will be graciously accepted, but gift cards to restaurants will be accepted as well.
