Wilbert Howard King Jr. passed away peacefully on Wednesday December 4, 2019 at his home in Arbutus, Maryland. He was born July 30, 1949, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Wilbert and Margaret (Fewster) King. He was a 1967 graduate of Mergenthaler Vocational Technical High School and served in the United States Armed Forces. He married Teresa de Kowzan on September 30, 1972 in Baltimore. He worked for 43 years at the State Highway Administration. Wilbert was an avid golfer, bowler and baseball enthusiast. He enjoyed spending time with his family and volunteered with the Arbutus Little League. He had a remarkable ability to reach people in a positive way even as he battled ALS. Wilbert is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Teresa, his sister Katherine (King) Whitehead, sister Elma (King) Francis, his sons Jason and Craig, his daughters Kristin (King) Rodgers, and Jamie (King) Lapusnik, his sons-in-law Calvin Rodgers and Dave Lapusnik, his daughters-in-law Alyssa (Reeves) King and Ashley (Dennis) King, his grand children David and Tara Lapusnik, Brady and Leah King, and Morgan and Aaron Rodgers.
