Tribute
Vincent Russell "Russ" Topper, 89 years old of Berlin, Maryland passed away peacefully on October 23rd, 2020. He was born on August 27th, to the late Vincent & Catherine Topper (Kelm) in Baltimore, Maryland.



Russ proudly served his country as a Staff Sergeant in the United States Air Force, during that time he married the love of his life Mary Antoinette Bova in Baltimore, Maryland.



After serving his country, he graduated from the Baltimore Accounting Institute, Russ worked as an accountant for Cork & Hill and then a banker for Maryland National Bank until he retired in 1993, he was also a lifetime member of the Violetville Volunteer Fire Department where he served as a firefighter, lieutenant and treasurer.



He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Mary and their three children Joseph (Karen), Mary (Bob), and Mark (Maria); four grandchildren Jennifer (Jay), Scott, Deanna (Nick) and Marilyn (Mark); three great grandchildren that were the apple of his eye Abigail, Jacob and Elliott; one beloved sister Doris. Russ also is survived by many loving nieces and nephews.



He is preceded in death by his beloved son Timothy, his dear parents Vincent & Catherine, his sister Shirley &  her husband Donald, his dear friend and brother- in-law Joseph; as well as nieces and nephews.



Private military burial at Baltimore National Cemetery in Catonsville, Maryland. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked to please make donations in Russ' name to St. Benedict Catholic Church; 2612 Wilkens Avenue  Baltimore, Maryland.
