Vera Grace Griffin (nee Keen), passed away on March 17th, 2006 at Moses Cohen Memorial Hospital, in Greensboro, NC., after a short illness. Mrs Griffin was born in Ewell, England and was married to Kenneth W. Griffin, Sr., in 1944 and came to the United States to raise a family. Mrs. Griffin was predeceased by her husband Kenneth W. Griffin, Sr.; her sons Kenneth W. Griffin, Jr., and Charles A. Griffin; as well as her sister Joyce Wallington from England.

She is survived by her son Bruce D. (Jennifer) Griffin of Greensboro, NC; her daughter-in-law Marleen Griffin; her sister Freda (Fred) Kirkham in England; her grandchildren Kimberly (Rob) Mercaldo, Bill (Jennifer) Griffin of Baltimore, MD., and Keen Lippert Griffin of Greensboro, NC. She is also survived by her three great grandchildren in Baltimore, MD., Jackson Griffin, Griffin Luca Mercaldo and Ryan Wm. Griffin; and numerous nieces and nephews also in England.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, April 9th, 2006 from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM in HUBBARD FUNERAL HOME, INC., 4107 Wilkens Avenue, Baltimore, MD. Funeral Services will begin at 3:00 PM on Sunday at the Funeral Home. Interment will take place on Monday, April 10th, 2006 at 10:00 AM in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in remembrance to the Charles A. Griffin Scholarship Fund, Greensboro, NC.
