On February 18, 2014, Thomas George Herr, father of Kevin Herr, Iva Herr, Lori Herr, and Mark Herr and his wife, Janice; grandfather of Landis Herr, Anna Herr, and Seth Thomas Gunther; brother of Barbara Herr, James Herr and his wife, Maureen, and Margaret Herr; brother in law of Melody Herr-Bruen; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Herr is preceded in death by his parents, Landis and Marion (nee Glackin) Herr, and his brothers, John, David, Joseph, and Robert Herr. Mr. Herr was active in the Optimist Club, Volunteers in Mission Group, United Methodist Mens Group, Boy Scouts of America, and was an avid Duckpin Bowler for 60+ years. He attended McCaskey High School, Franklin & Marshall College, and was a champion wrestler in his younger years.
Mr. Herr rests at the family operated HUBBARD FUNERAL HOME, INC., 4107 Wilkens Avenue, Baltimore, MD where friends are invited to call on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 2-4pm and 6-8pm and on Saturday, February 22, 2014 from 12pm to 1pm at Beechfield United Methodist Church, 541 S. Beechfield Avenue Baltimore, MD. His funeral service will follow at 1pm. Burial will follow in Loudon Park Cemetery. Flowers will be graciously accepted but donations in his name may be directed to Beechfield United Methodist Church.
