Sue A. Reynolds passed away peacefully of natural causes on October 22 in her home at Charlestown Community in Catonsville, Maryland.She was 96 years old.Born in 1925 to Reverend Arthur McKinley Reynolds, Sr. and Susan Minton Reynolds, Sue Reynolds was a graduate of Waynesboro High School and Madison Teachers College (now James Madison University).She majored in organ performance in college, and played frequently for protestant church services until about 2005.
Ms. Reynolds taught English literature and grammar to high school students for more than 40 years, retiring from Andover High School in Glen Burnie, Maryland about 1990.She was an enthusiastic bridge player who was always available for a neighborhood game.An avid traveler, she toured most of the U.S. and Europe, frequently accompanied by nieces and nephews, as well as by her longtime friend and teaching colleague, John Shirko.She also volunteered at BWI Airport, where she helped countless travelers begin their journeys.
Ms. Reynolds is survived by a brother (Arthur McKinley Reynolds, Jr., MD), three nieces, three nephews and many grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
A graveside service at St. Luke's Cemetery in Smithfield, VA will be held at later date.
