Called home to God on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at the age of 70. Sister Martha was born in Pittsburgh, PA on October 17, 1945. She was the daughter of the late Eugene M. and Mary J. (nee Flaherty) Lieb and was one of 6 children. Sister Martha entered the Little Sisters of the Poor and pronounced her vows on September 7, 1968. In her 47 years of religious life, she served the elderly in homes located throughout the United States. She has been at St Martin�s Home in Catonsville since May 2015. Sister Martha is survived by four sisters: Mary Margaret, Dolores (Dolly- her twin), Annie, and Gerry. She is also survived by her one nephew and one great niece. She was predeceased by her sister, Barbara. Visitation for Sr Martha will be at St Martin�s Home (Little Sisters of the Poor) Sunday, March 20, 2016 from 3-5pm and 6-8PM with a rosary at 4:30PM. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St Martin�s Home on Monday, March 21, 2016 at 10:30AM. Interment in New Cathedral Cemetery to follow.
