On June 3, 2015, Samuel S. Hoffman, Sr.; beloved husband of the late Joan Virginia Hoffman,loving father of Bryan Hoffman and his wife, Donna, Samuel Hoffman, Jr. and his wife, Mary, Vallie-Jo Polcak and her husband, Ted, RobertJohn Hoffman and his wife, Jennifer, and Pamela Joan Belcher;proud grandfather of Ashley, the late Andrew, Amy, Brad, Katie, Samuel, III, Lee, Christopher, Scott, Holly, Kirsten, Erika, Zachary, Michael, Johnathan, Clayton, and Samantha; cherished great grandfather of Natalie, Jake, Colin, Dallas, Bennett, Isabella, Rylan, Bella, J.T., and Cylas; he is also survived by sisters Becky and Mildred. He was preceded in death by his devoted parents, the late Louise R. (nee Ingram) and Charles R. Hoffman and numerous brothers and sisters. Mr. Hoffman is a retired Captain of the Baltimore City Fire Department with a career that spanned 37 years.
Mr. Hoffman rests at the family operated HUBBARD FUNERAL HOME, INC., 4107 Wilkens Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21229 where his family will receive guests on Sunday, June 7, 2015, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 8, 2015 at 10:00 AM in the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Loudon Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be directed to Kennedy Krieger Institute, Attn: Office of Philanthropy, 707 North Broadway, Baltimore, MD 21205 or Alzheimer's Association, 1850 York Road, Suite D, Timonium, MD 21093.
