Tribute
On November 1st, 2020, Ruth Elaine Shope, age 99, passed away. She was the beloved wife of the late Frederick A. Shope, Jr., devoted mother to the late Ronald E. Shope and Diana M. Goldsby and her husband Richard E., dear grandmother of the late Michael Shope, Geoffrey Shope, Amy Shope, Jennifer Shope, April McBride and her husband Scott, and Heather Skipper and her husband Christopher; loving great-grandmother of Connor McBride, Grayson McBride, and Tristan Skipper; and beloved mother in law to Nancy Shope. Ruth is preceded in death by her dear siblings: Elinor Wheeler, Helen Blondell, John Wheeler, and Carlton Wheeler.

Ruth will be remembered for her love of traveling, poetry, holiday gatherings, and her dedication to all of her family and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday November 11th at 11am at Hubbard Funeral Home 4107 Wilkens Ave. Baltimore, MD 21229, with a visiting hour from 10am-11am prior to service time. Interment to immediately follow the service at Meadowridge Memorial Park.
