Ruth Nichols

On November 21, 2009, Ruth (nee Gates) Nichols, beloved wife of 50 years to the late Ridgley Nichols, loving mother of Edward, Mary and Thomas Nichols, devoted grandmother of Caitlin and Megan Nichols, also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Ruth was a 1940 graduate of the Institute of Notre Dame and 1943 graduate of the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. Ruth was a devoted Catholic, active in every parish in which she lived. A former member of St. Bernardine and St. Charles Borromeo parishes and a current member of Our Lady of the Angels Chapel. Ruth spent the past 11 years as an active resident of the Charlestown Retirement Community. She was a sweet and gracious lady who had a smile for everyone.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, November 24th, 2009 from 10-11 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Chapel, Charlestown Retirement Community, 711 Maiden Choice Lane, Catonsville, Maryland 21228. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 AM with Father Leo Larrivee Celebrating. Interment to follow at Lakeview Memorial Park, Sykesville, Maryland. Memorial donation in Ruth's memory, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Our Daily Bread, 725 Fallsway, Baltimore, Maryland 21202
