Ruth E. Lephardt passed away peacefully on September 29, 2013 at the age of 101. She was born in Corona, Long Island to Emil and Laura (nee Young) Jacobi. Ruth worked for the telephone company until she retired. She met her husband, Albert Vernon Lephardt, in New Jersey. Howard Creighton, her brother in law, introduced them. They later married andhad one daughter, Rhoda. Rhoda predeceased them both. She is also predeceased by her brothers, Carl, Rudolph, and Emil, her sister, Gertrude Creighton, and her niece and nephew, Marilyn O'Kelly and Sonny Creighton. Surviving Ruth is her sister, Elsie Krill, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews. Most of her life, she lived in Maryland. After her husband died, she moved to Charlestown Retirement Community to be near her sister, Elsie.
Mrs. Lephardt rests at the family operated HUBBARD FUNERAL HOME, INC., 4107 Wilkens Avenue, Baltimore, MD where friends are invited to call on Thursday, October 10th, 2013 from 9-10am. A Funeral Service will be held following at 10am. Interment to follow in Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery Hurlock, Maryland.
