Rose, born on January 9, 1931, lived in Maywood, New Jersey with her parents James and Margaret Deaver and her four siblings, Beatrice, James, Edward and Margaret. As a young child, she was a tom-boy. She became very active in outdoor sports during her high school years where she achieved many athletic awards! She graduated from Bogota High School. She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Maywood, New Jersey. Rose married Alex McLellan on February 12, 1956. They moved to Rochelle Park, New Jersey where they lived for 42 years. During this time, Rose was active in the Eastern Star. She was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader for many years. Rose worked in the Accounting Department for Bijur Lubricating Corp. Rose became an excellent cook and loved every minute in the kitchen! She and Alex enjoyed hosting many family and friend dinners. She and Alex attended many Scottish events and even visited Scotland several times. Rose and Alex moved to Maryland in 1998. They moved to Charlestown in 2006 where they currently reside. Rose and Alex have two daughters, Gail and Holli, one son-in-law John and four grandchildren: Kimberly, Rebecca, Elli and Eric. They have four great-grandsons: Evan, John, Jackson and Grayson.
