Robert Henry Spangenberg

Robert Henry Spangenberg, 68, of Baltimore, died suddenly on Tuesday, July 28, 2009. He was the beloved son of the late Joseph and Bertha Spangenberg, loving father of Robert C. Spangenberg, Becky A. Spangenberg and Anna M. (Spangenberg) Baker, devoted grandfather of Breanna Spangenberg, Summer Wersten, Kimberly, Kayla, Allison and Dalton Baker. He was the dear brother of the late Joseph M. Spangenberg, Shirley Delker, Janet Spangenberg of North Carolina, Janice Bennett of North Carolina and Rita Kiral of Pennsylvania. He served in the Vietnam War in the 504th Battalion. He is survived by his former wife and friend, Dorothy A. (Nielsen) Spangenberg, his aunt Ruth Matisz and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2009, from 4-8 PM at the HUBBARD FUNERAL HOME, INC., 4107 Wilkens Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2009 at 12:00 Noon in the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Garrison Forest, Owings Mills, Maryland.
