Tribute
Robert (Bob) Louis Krueger died peacefully from Non-Hodgins Lymphoma on February 7, 2020 at home. He was born in Baltimore, the son of Max and Mary (nee Waldschmidt) Krueger.  He graduated from University of Baltimore and worked as a foreign freight forwarder for John S. Connor, Inc. for 46 years.

He married his wife of 44 years, Donita (nee Dull), in 1975 and raised two children together. They were active members of St. Luke's UCC in Baltimore and later, St. John ELCA in Columbia.  Bob had been a lay pastor for 50 years.

A lifelong train and trolly car enthusiast, Bob was a member of the Baltimore Society of Model Engineers and National Railroad Historical Society, Baltimore Chapter. If you told him where in the U.S. you were from, Bob could tell you the name of the closest rail service.  He was extremely active at his beloved Baltimore Streetcar Museum where he helped restore streetcars and was a conductor and motorman, sharing his vast knowledge of streetcars to thousands of visitors.  He was later a dispatcher and event coordinator at the museum.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Donita; his adored children, daughter Maggie Krueger, of Elkridge, and son Donald Krueger of Hanover, MD; his cousins, Edward, Norman and Frank Krueger; and his sisters-in-law, Ruth Thompson and Barbara Ward of Jacksonville, Florida and 16 nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends from 3-5pm and 7-9 pm on Friday, Feb. 14, at the Hubbard Funeral Home, 4107 Wilkens Ave, Baltimore, MD 21229. A funeral service will be held at St. John Lutheran Church at 10 am on Feb. 15, at 6004 Waterloo road, Columbia, MD 21045. Burial will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Brooklyn Park, Maryland.

In lieu of flowers Bob requested that donations be make to the Car 3828 Restoration Fund at the Baltimore Streetcar Museum, P. O. Box 4881, Baltimore, MD, 21211.
