Tribute
Mrs. R. Gail Dunworth (nee Kitchen) of Ellicott City, MD, passed away suddenly on Friday, July 6, 2018 at the age of 83.   Gail was the daughter of the late Robert A. Kitchen, Sr. and step-daughter of Priscilla B. Kitchen of Baltimore City, Maryland.  She is survived by her brothers Robert A. Kitchen, Jr. and George B. Kitchen. Beloved mother of Kathleen (Edward), Patricia, Kelly (Edward), and Sean (Kristin).  Proud grandmother to 11 – Tina, Melissa, Nathan, Joseph, Thomas, Michael, Jacob, Lindsay, Brendan, Aidan and Mary Caroline.A longtime resident of Catonsville, MD, Gail graduated high school from Mount de Sales Academy.  She studied accounting at night school and achieved advancing levels of recognition in her work to support her family.  Most notably, she was the longtime Controller of the Baltimore Country Club, a position from which she retired in 2005.Gail actively pursued a variety of interests over her lifetime including quilting, sewing and embroidery, travel, bridge, and duckpin bowling.She was a longtime subscriber to the theaters and symphony in Baltimore.  A lifelong learner and voracious reader, Gail could be counted on to find common interests that engaged old and new friends alike.She leaves behind many longtime friends. Gail will be remembered as a devoted member of her family and a dedicated friend.Donations in Gail's memory may be made to a Charity of one's choice in lieu of flowers.Arrangements can be found within the Services details section of this webpage.
