Tribute
On February 28, 2018, Patricia Felix Shipley was greeted in her heavenly home by her cherished husband, Walter C. Shipley. She was the loving mother of Judy Burdt and her husband, Bill, Michael Shipley and his wife, Debbie, Theresa Woodward and her husband, Jim, Tim Shipley and his wife, Charisse, Joe Shipley and his wife, Nichole, and Trudy Hauptman and her husband, Bill. Her legacy of love is also carried on through her fifteen grandchildren and twenty three great grandchildren. Patty and her husband were one of the original eight families that were founding members of St. Peter Catholic Church. They took great pride in building the church both physically and spiritually. When she wasn't caring for her family, she volunteered at God's Kitchen inside Calvary United Methodist Church. She really enjoyed her work there and helping to feed her community. She will be missed by all that had the pleasure to know her.
Patty's family will receive friends on Monday, March 5, 2018 from 9am to 10:30am at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church- Libertytown, 9190 Church Street, Union Bridge, MD 21791. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the conclusion of her viewing at 10:30am. Interment in the church cemetery next to her beloved husband will follow.
