Melvin Raynard Moulden was raised in Cherry Hill and attend Baltimore City Public School. At a young age, he aspired to become a cartoonist. Melvin was the son of the last Josephine P. Dow and the brother of the late Marsha Williams.

He is survived by his son Raynard and grandson Raynard Jr.

Melvin is also survived by his six brothers and one sister (Warren, Carolyn, Ronald, Lewis, Julius, Andre and Eric). He is also survived by a host of aunt, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends including Raynard's mother, Sherrie Cox.

Melvin also leaves to mourn his devoted friend, Annetta, her daughter Shannon and Annetta's two grandsons.
