On October 11, 2024, in the early morning, Mary Agnes "Gooks" Place (nee Dixon) peacefully passed away in Cape Coral, FL.

Cherished mother of Donna Salazar, Donald F. Place, Jr., Joseph Place and Christopher Place and beloved grandmother to Raul Salazar, Jessye Salazar and Christopher Place, Mary was born in Baltimore, raised in Elkridge and lived in Annapolis.

Mary always had a positive outlook, and her laughter brought sunshine and happiness to everyone around her. She found joy in the simplest things in life and expressed gratitude for her many blessings.

Mary devoted her life to God and her family. As a mother, she was dedicated and unfailing. She epitomized love, faith and perseverance.

Though Mary has gone to her Heavenly reward, her memory will endure forever among her family and friends who loved her dearly.

Mary's family invites her many friends and relatives to visit Hubbard Funeral Home at Sterling-Ashton-Schwab-Witzke, 1630 Edmondson Ave., Catonsville, MD 21228 on Friday, October 18th from 5pm to 7pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 10am at St. Augustine's Catholic Church, 5976 Old Washington Blvd., Elkridge, MD 21075 with interment to follow in New Cathedral Cemetery, 4300 Old Frederick Rd., Baltimore, MD 21229
