Mary graduated from Forest Park High School in 1954. She worked at the B&O railroad where she
met her husband Albert. They were married on August 4, 1956. They were married for 65 years.
Al and Mary moved to Charlestown Retirement Community in May 2006 where they spent many years
participating in activities and traveling. Mary especially enjoyed exercise classes, reading, playing
bocce ball and bingo. She was instrumental in starting the bocce ball league at Charlestown and
enjoyed teaching other residents how to play. Both she and her husband played in the bocce ball
league for many years.
Mary currently resided at Charlestown in Wilton Overlook assisted living where she enjoyed going to
Mass and the entertainment provided there. She loved the visits with her family members, having
lunch and special treats they would bring, playing cards and sitting out in the courtyard and porches
with them.
Mary's faith was important to her and she loved Our Lady of the Angels Chapel. Though her final
years were challenging, she remained faithful. Her family is grateful for the love and care she received
in assisted living and will cherish the memories of time spent with her.
