Mary G. Lingeman, 94, passed away November 13, 2021 in Hendersonville, North Carolina.She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend.Mary was born on February 23, 1927 in Baltimore, Maryland, to William R. and Agnes G. (Sinclair) Wise.
Mary graduated from Seton High School in Baltimore, Maryland in June 1945.Mary was deeply devoted to her Catholic faith, and served two years as a nun in the order of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Chambery in West Hartford, Connecticut.She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and sister, and always showed great care and understanding to others, particularly those in need.She greatly enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, and loved all types of music and plays.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents; husband Bernard J. Lingeman, and brothers William S. Wise and J. Robert Wise.She is survived by her half sister Patricia A. Stone of Mechanicsville, Maryland, daughter Jean F. Shelton (Dale) of Flat Rock, North Carolina, son Paul B. Lingeman (Peggy) of Ellicott City, Maryland, and son Robert W. Lingeman (Lynn) of Arbutus, Maryland.Mary also had four grandchildren: David P. Lingeman, Cassie A. Lingeman, Jeremy L. Lingeman, and Zachary M. Lingeman and a great-grandson Grayson L. Lingeman.
The family will receive visitors at the Hubbard Funeral Home, Inc. 4107 Wilkens Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21229 on Sunday, November 21, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.A funeral mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 4414 Wilkens Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21229 on Monday, November 22, 2021 at 11:00 am.Interment to follow at Lake View Memorial Park in Sykesville, Maryland.
