Hammock, Mary L. On April 26, 2010, Mary L. Hammock, 87 years old, a lifelong resident of Halethorpe, Maryland, wife of the late Richard Hammock, mother of Richard Slifer Hammock, daughter of the late Victor and Flora Slifer. She was a 1939 graduate of Catonsville High School and a 1943 graduate of Goucher College and Peabody Preparatory School. She taught piano from her home for many years. Also survived by daughter-in-law Karen Hammock, two grandchildren, Alison Oshop and Ted Hammock, and two great-grandchildren, Audrey and Peter Oshop. A memorial service will be held at Halethorpe/Relay United Methodist Church, 4513 Ridge Avenue, Halethorpe, Maryland on Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 11:00 AM. The family will greet guests from 10:00 AM until the service. Inurnment will follow at Loudon Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to Halethorpe/Relay United Methodist Church or any charity of your choice.
