On August 9, 2015, Mary Elizabeth (nee Nagle) passed away peacefully with her family by her side. She was born in Allentown, PA. She was the beloved wife of the late James J. McDonnell, Jr.; devoted mother of James J. McDonnell, IIIand his wife, Patricia; Frances M. Norden and her husband, Daniel, Thomas P. McDonnell and his wife, Kimberly, David E. McDonnell and his girlfriend, Bernadette, and Kevin C. McDonnell and his wife, Dana; Cherished grandmother of Sean, Brigid, David, Marissa, Katie, Thomas, Megan, and the late Ryan. She was also survived by two sisters, Sally and Barbara, and brother, John; sister in law, Dolores, and brother in law, John and his wife, Jenita. Mrs. McDonnell rests at the family-operated HUBBARD FUNERAL HOME, INC., 4107 Wilkens Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21229 where her family will receive guests on Thursday, August 13, 2015 from 4-8PM and on Friday at the Our Lady of the Angels Chapel at Charlestown, 711 Maiden Choice Lane, Catonsville, MD 21228 from 10-11AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11AM. Interment will be in Maryland Veterans Cemetery-Crownsville at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be directed to the Charlestown Benevolent Care Fund, 719 Maiden Choice Lane, Catonsville, MD 21228 or to a charity of ones choosing.
