McGowan, Loretta G. On June 15, 2007 Mrs. Loretta G. McGowan passed away at 88 years of age at the Talbot Hospice Foundation in Easton. Loretta was born December 25, 1918 in Baltimore, MD. She attended the Peabody School of Music after graduating from St. Martin�s High School in Baltimore City. Mrs. McGowan worked as plant manager for several big companies in Baltimore for many years. She was the devoted wife of the late Charles �Turk� McGowan with whom she had a beautiful love affair for 56 years. She would play the piano and organ many nights and they would sing to each other. They loved the opera and the theatre and loved entertaining with their many friends. Her husband passed away in 1995. She was the beloved mother of Patrick McGowan and his wife C.J. and the dear sister of Betty Powers. Mrs. McGowan is also survived by five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to call at the HUBBARD FUNERAL HOME, INC., 4107 Wilkens Avenue, Baltimore, on Tuesday June 19th from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM where services will be held on Wednesday, June 20th at 11:00 AM.
