Tribute
On March 11, 2020, Linda Lamana Amos passed away in Ellicott City. Born November 3, 1955 to the late John and Eleanor Lamana, beloved wife of M. Edward Amos, III, devoted mother of Lauren Sandy (Stephen) and Kristin Lowry (John), sister of the late Michael and Thomas Lamana, and loving grandmother of Stella and Lydia Sandy and Keira Lowry.

Linda attended St Mark's School in Catonsville then went onto Arch Bishop Keough High School, where she graduated in 1973. Upon graduation, she went to work for the Social Security Administration. Her intentions were to stay in this job for a while until she decided what she really wanted to do. Well 40 years later, in 2012 Linda retired from a career as an Insurance Specialist in Public Inquiries attaining a Grade 14. She thoroughly enjoyed the variety of positions she had while at SSA, but she mostly loved the lifetime of friendships she made.

Linda and Ed were married in 1977 enjoying 43 years of marriage. She was a proud mom who would do anything for her girls and her family.  Lin's mom used to crack on her for running our girls to so many activities be it basketball, soccer, softball, Girl Scouts, piano lessons, whatever it was we would figure it out with our work schedule keep her girls involved. It was important to both of us no matter what the inconvenience. Our lives revolved around our girls with our work life taking a secondary role. While we were both successful in our careers our family was a primary consideration and thankfully our work lives management agreed with us and allowed us to treasure these objectives.

Linda's passions were numerous. Aside from loving me and her girls, she loved gardening, reading so many different types of books, binge watching TV shows together, but travel and seeing the world was her ultimate passion. She always thought that her days on this earth together were limited and she wanted to see as much as she could in those days. She was the planner and was passionate about making trips happen, and she did.

Our daughters Lauren and Kristin blessed us with our granddaughters Stella, Keira and Lydia. They have brought a joy to our lives that is so much more than we could have ever imagined. These girls are so special to our family and Linda was in her glory loving them with all her heart. There was nothing she would not do to make them happy; she was their Nonna

Our family would not be the same without Linda's love and influence over all of us. My love is unending and I know that her touch stays with me, my daughters and our entire family. God Bless Linda.
