On April 2, 2017, Larry R. Purkey peacefully passed away with his family by his side after a valiant fight. He will be missed by his children, Carol Hasson and her husband, Tim and Dawn Owens and her husband, Dave; grandchildren, Kirstyn, Matthew, Zach, Ryan, and Marissa; brother, Richard Purkey; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Nash and brother, Emory Purkey, Jr. Larry rests at HUBBARD FUNERAL HOME, INC., 4107 Wilkens Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21229 from 3-5 & 7-9pm on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 and 11-12pm on Thursday. His funeral service will follow at 12pm.
