It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph "Joey" J. Astasauskas. He passed on December 27, 2021 surrounded by his wife and his Aunt Carole. He was preceded in death by his father Joseph Astasauskas and mother Helen "Joanne" Astasauskas.

Joey was born on June 7th, 1973.He graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.Joey brought joy and laughter to all he met. Though he was only on earth for a short time, he is remembered every day by his friends and family. Joey had a sense of humor that lit up any room he was in. He spent his time learning new skills or making new gadgets and toys.He was everyone's "Go To" and "Fix it Guy".If he wasn't on his computer or down in his workroom, he was playing with his cats Thor, Athena, and Primrose.He had a true love of animals.He enjoyed spending time with his friends playing cards or video games.He was blessed to spend 25 years of his career with his beloved friends at Johns Italian Deli where he was a "Transportation Engineer". He gathered many loyal customers over the years.The deli is located in Baltimore Highlands.

Joey is survived by Jennifer, his beloved wife of 14 years, his Aunt Carole, and many beloved cousins.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Hubbard Funeral Home, Inc., 4107 Wilkens Ave. Baltimore, MD 21229. Visitation will take place on Saturday January 8th, 2022.Visitation will be 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm. A service will be held directly following the memorial.
