John Robert (Bob) Schafer, III

January 14th, 1927-October 25th, 2020



On October 25th, 2020, John Robert Schafer III, "Bob" to friends and family passed away peacefully. He was the beloved husband to the late Dolores L. Schafer. Bob is survived by his daughter Michelle Schafer-Slowe (also daughter Kathy and Laurie from a prior marriage), stepson Jann Weaver and his wife Grace, stepdaughter Melanie Weeks and her husband Billy, three grandsons Nathanial, Benjamin and Josh, step-grandson Jeffrey and step-granddaughter Ashley, and seven step-great grandchildren.

Bob served in the US Navy, graduated from the University of Baltimore and retired from Westinghouse Corporation after a 41-year career. Bob will be remembered for his faith in the Lord, generosity, and devotion to this family.
