On February 9th, John Thomas Nash passed away peacefully with his loving wife, Barbara Ann Nash, by his side. John born April 16th 1936, was the only son and one of three children of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Thomas Nash of New York City. A devoted father and husband, John is survived, in addition to his wife, by his sisters Genevieve Guimond and Anne DiStefano, his daughter, Trina Wagner (Charles), sons Thomas (Sandy), Paul (Darla), and Peter Nash (Elizabeth), and his grandchildren Mandi, Ben, Sara, William, Zoe, Emmett, and Elizabeth Nash and Christina, Charles, and John Wagner.
John devoted his life to serving his family, country, and community. In his career, he worked to ensure the safety of citizens and our soldiers through his employment by the US Army Corps of Engineers and the Secretary of the Army. Outside of work, John strove tirelessly to help the community, volunteering with the community hospital, helping the homeless at Shepard's Table, teaching senior driving safety for AARP, and helping start the Montgomery County Volunteer Dental Clinic.
A memorial service will be held Sunday April 10th 2016 in the New Nature Center of Brookside Gardens in Wheaton MD at 2:00 PM. Brookside Gardens is located at 1800 Glenallan Avenue, Wheaton, MD 20902.
