Schlueter, Joanne On Friday, May 6th, 2011, Joanne Schlueter, beloved daughter of C. Calvin Menhorn and Naomi E. Menhorn (nee Deems); loving mother of Karen A. Schlueter and Kathy D. Schlueter; passed away peacefully at home at the age of 80 years. She enjoyed being active in the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #137, Local Politics and her Church, St. Benedict�s Roman Catholic Church. She was always happy to get together with neighbors to eat, talk, laugh and relax, especially when the whole group would go to Ocean City for the same 2 weeks and would stay in the same apartment complex. Everyone on the beach together. She was thrilled when she was able to travel to Nashville, German/Austria/Switzerland and Cape Cod/Maine/Canada and cruise to Bermuda, the Caribbean and Hawaii. She liked Italian Food, Country Music, Sapphires, Tom Selleck and Lilacs. She loved her pets, Coffee, Chocolate, and the Orioles. Most of all she loved her girls, the Mountains of Garrett County, Deep Creek Lake, her hometown of Oakland, Maryland and her family there. We are taking her home. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, May 11th, 2011 from 3-5:00 and 7-9:00 PM in HUBBARD FUNERAL HOME, INC., 4107 Wilkens Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 12th, 2011 at 1:30 PM in St. Benedict�s Roman Catholic Church, 2612 Wilkens Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland. Interment will follow at a later date in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Oakland, Maryland.
