Tribute
Jerl was born in 1938 in West Virginia. He was close with his three brothers, James, Wallace, and Rodney Galford, and his parents, Arietta Phillips Galford and Snowden Galford, all of whom have preceded Jerl in death. When Jerl was a young teen, his family moved to Maryland. Jerl went to machinist school and obtained a job as a machinist, which he kept for many years.    Jerl will be missed by many. He is survived by his devoted wife Ednamae White Galford. They recently celebrated 61 and ½ years of marriage. Jerl was a beloved father to his daughter, Sandy Galford Birkmeyer, married to Steve Birkmeyer. Jerl was a beloved grandfather to Courtney Birkmeyer. Jerl was also a brother-in-law, and an uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.Jerl loved hunting and fishing. In his retirement years, he enjoyed cooking, crafting, boating, yard sailing, collecting antiques, and spending summers In Delaware. Jerl spent his later years at Frederick Villa Nursing Home.
