He is the beloved husband of Shirley Brooks Powell, loving father of Robert Powell and his wife Diane and Wayne Powell and his wife Elizabeth, cherished grandfather of Cynthia Fletcher and her husband Adam, Margaret (Mollie) Powell, and James Spencer Powell, devoted great-grandfather of Jonathan and Kendall Fletcher, admired brother of Charles Melvin Powell and his wife Betty. Mr. Powell rests at the family operated HUBBARD FUNERAL HOME, INC., 4107 Wilkens Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21229. The family will receive guests on Thursday, January 11, 2018 from 1-3 and 5-7 PM at the Funeral Home and from 11 AM to 12 Noon on Friday, January 12, 2018 in the Chapel at Charlestown Retirement Community, 711 Maiden Choice Lane, Catonsville, Maryland 21229. Funeral Services will follow at 12 Noon. Interment at Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Marriottsville, Maryland.
