James Samuel McGaughey, Sr. passed away peacefully on June 17, 2015 surrounded by his family. Devoted husband of the late Viola Louise McGaughey; loving father of Janie McGaughey Wibbels Dismang, Jamie Lee McGaughey, Sr. and his wife, Patricia, William �Joe� Bryant, Ella Bryant Reddington, Joseph �Jody� Bryant, Judy Dunn, James �Jimmy� Bryant, Johnny Bryant; cherished grandfather of Jamie McGaughey, Jr., Linda McGaughey, Angela Holt and her husband, Kenneth, Tiffany Zaffiris and her husband, John, and Nathan McGaughey; dear brother of Bill McGaughey and his wife, Billie, brother in law of Louise McGaughey; Also survived by his many grandchildren, nephews, nieces, and cousins. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Herbert McGaughey, Sr., children, James Samuel McGaughey, Jr., Dawn Marie Hunt, Buddy Bryant, Shirley Ludwig, Norma Durham, Mary Lemus, Thomas �Tommy� Bryant, and Roger Bryant; grandson, Mark S. McGaughey, Sr.; siblings, Herbert �Junior� McGaughey, Jr. and Betty McGaughey. In addition to being proud of his family, Mr. McGaughey was a Navy Veteran who served his country during the Korean War. Mr. McGaughey rests at the family operated HUBBARD FUNERAL HOME, INC., 4107 Wilkens Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21229 where his family will receive guests on Friday, June 19th from 10am-12pm. His funeral service will follow at 12pm. Interment to follow at Loudon Park Cemetery.
