Tribute
On October 23, 2019, Howard Nicholas Groh went to be with his Lord. He was born on April 25, 1936 to his parents, the late Martha Messina and Howard Groh. He is the beloved husband of Elizabeth May Groh, loving father of Theresa Elaine Groh and Howard William Groh and his wife Ki Lynn Groh, devoted grandfather of Carl, Andrew, and Matthew Groh, cherished great-grandfather of Leon Groh. Howard is the admired brother of Geraldine Groh, Shirley Burk and her late husband William "Buddy" Burk, and Jackie Denner, He is the brother-in-law of Theresa Garland and her husband Robert and Cathy Dayhoff and her husband Greg. He is the proud uncle of Charlene, Patty, the late William ("Billy"), Russell, Ricky, Mark, Todd, Heidi, Matthew, Meredith, Michael, Robert ("Bobby"), George, and Shane.

Howard was devoted to his family and friends and would always give his time to help anyone who needed it. He was gifted mechanically and could figure out and fix anything you put in front of him, from TVs to plumbing to cars and more. He was also a great baker and we will miss his cheesecakes and chocolates around the holidays!

Howard loved hunting and fishing. He loved hearing his dogs chasing after rabbits. Other hobbies were laying by his pool and picking on his wife. He loved his vacations with family at
Deep Creek Lake, MD. After retirement he enjoyed spending his summertime afternoons napping in his swing by his pool. He was also very disciplined and got up early every morning and spent an hour on the treadmill. Though he battled some serious illnesses over the past ten years (bladder and lung cancer among others that he beat!) he never let it hurt his spirits and remained a joker till the Lord called his name. He will be deeply missed by all his family and friends.
