On August 11, 2013, Helen Blayer Dowling, beloved daughter of the late Mary (nee Noga) and Joseph Blayer, was called home by the Lord. She was the loving wife of the late Edmund J. Dowling, Sr., cherished mother of Barbara Hughes (John), Janet Dowling, Matthew Dowling (Jeannette), and the late Edmund J. Dowling, Jr. and Geralyn Dowling, devoted sister of the late Walter, Joseph, Leo, John and Henry Blayer, sister-in-law of Mary Greenwell and John Dowling, grandmother of Erin and Brett Hughes and Jacob, Zachary and Emily Dowling. Visitation will be held at the family operated HUBBARD FUNERAL HOME, 4107 Wilkens Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21229 on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 from 7-9 PM and on Thursday, August 15, 2013 from 6-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Father Francis Callahan (nephew) on Friday, August 16, 2013 at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 4416 Wilkens Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21229. Interment to follow at New Cathedral Cemetery, 4300 Old Frederick Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21229. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Helen�s memory may be made to a charity of one�s choice.
