Montgomery, Granville Hood Our dear GRANVILLE HOOD MONTGOMERY, husband of Phyllis Virginia Montgomery (deceased) for 66 years, passed of respiratory failure on Thanksgiving Day, 2008, age 90. Saved by Jesus in his eighties, active church member, Navy Chief in World War II & the Korean Conflict, and employed at Bethlehem Steel for 44 years. Second child of Charles and Dora Montgomery of Baltimore, grandson of Luther Anderson and Clara Virginia Montgomery (Nee Hood) and Daniel Wesley and Elizabeth E. Phillips (Nee Huntzberry). He survived his brother Luther. Honoring his memory are his brother Hollis, son Alan Harry with wife Carol and children Eric, Amy, Ryan, and Kevin, son Raymond Paul with wife Karen and children Jamison and Hallye, brother-in-law Reese Drisgill, nephews Steve Montgomery, Craig Montgomery, and Robert Drisgill, niece Peggy (Drisgill) Walker, niece Elva Stiegler, niece Roberta Melton, and niece Sharon Peters with their families. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, December 1, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9:00 PM in HUBBARD FUNERAL HOME, INC., 4107 Wilkens Avenue, Baltimore, MD. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at 1:00 PM in Arbutus United Methodist Church, 1201 Maple Avenue, Arbutus, MD. Interment will follow in Loudon Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in remembrance to the Arbutus United Methodist Church.
