On February 13, 2018, Gloria Simmons (nee Hemling) passed away at the age of 76. She is survived by Paul, her devoted husband of 58 years, as well as her son Joe, her niece Stephanie, her brother James (Daniel), her dog Lucy, and many loving family and friends. Gloria was a caring, compassionate, intelligent, gregarious, strong, kind, and fun-loving woman. All she wanted was for every person in her life to be happy, and she spent her life trying to make this possible. She was the best possible mom, a devoted wife, a caring sister, a motherly aunt, a loyal friend, and, for too short a time, an affectionate grandmother. (She was also, for no good reason at all, a devoted Orioles� fan). For those who were fortunate enough to be a recipient of Gloria�s love, her death feels unfathomable. We all just lost a uniquely wonderful human being.Gloria rests at the family operated HUBBARD FUNERAL HOME, INC., 4107 Wilkens Avenue, Baltimore, MD. The family will receive guests on Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 6:30-9:00 PM and on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 3-5 and 7-9 PM. A Catholic Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 19, 2018 at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church.
