On November 5, 2007, Gloria Ruth Burkett, loving wife of Richard A. Burkett, beloved mother of 3 sons, Melvin, Jr., Gary and Richard Applegarth and 4 daughters Cynthia Hernandez, Barbara Ann Stewart, Beverly Cantrell and Pauline Shiflett, devoted sister of Leon Price, Jr., also survived by 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at the HUBBARD FUNERAL HOME, INC., 4107 Wilkens Avenue on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM and where funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Friday. Interment will follow at Loudon Park Cemetery.
