Anderson
Jul 30, 1950 — May 21, 2026
Linthicum
Gail Diane Anderson, born on July 30, 1950, in Maryland, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and devotion to family that will forever be cherished by those who knew her.
Gail was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Lee Curtis Anderson Jr.; her mother, Betty Handley Morris; and her father, Howard Austin Morris. She is survived by her beloved children: Kim (Craig) Shaw, Lee (Sarah) Anderson, Paul (Susan) Anderson, Jennifer (Bob) Rockwell, and Rebecca Anderson. Gail was the proud and loving grandmother of Peter, Lexi, Aidan, Zach, Eli, Amanda, Grace, Kate, Bobby, Eric, Ryan, and Abbie; and cherished great-grandmother of Leo, Olivia, Willow, Claire, Chris, Charlee, Kinslee, Jameson, Carly, Landon, and Adalynn. She is also survived by her dear sisters, Dawn (Richard) Sims and Joy (Ed) Rasinski, along with many extended family members and treasured friends.
Above all else, Gail was most proud of her five children and the beautiful family that grew from them. Her greatest happiness came from spending time with those she loved. She treasured family gatherings filled with laughter, stories, and board games around the table.
Gail had a deep love for reading and found peace and joy in the outdoors. Camping was her favorite getaway, and she loved nothing more than being surrounded by nature. In quieter moments, she could often be found sitting on her front porch for hours, chatting with neighbors and friends or talking on the phone with loved ones. Her warm spirit and gift for conversation made everyone feel welcomed and cared for.
Most recently, Gail became affectionately known as "Guardian Gail" at her memory care facility. Even while facing her own challenges, she continually looked after others, comforting fellow residents when they were upset or in need. Her compassion, kindness, and nurturing heart never faded and left a lasting impression on everyone around her.
Gail Diane Anderson will be remembered for her loving heart, gentle spirit, unwavering devotion to family, and the comfort she brought to so many lives. Though she will be deeply missed, her love and legacy will continue through the generations of family and friends who were blessed to know her.
