Fitzgerald, F. Margaret Day

On July 3, 2006, F. Margaret Day Fitzgerald, of Catonsville, Md., departed after years of suffering from Alzheimer's, cancer and radiation poisoning. She is the beloved mother of Margaret F. Burke, of Baltimore, Md., James R. Fitzgerald of San Antonio, Tx. and the late Paul D. Fitzgerald. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. She has two sisters, Helen Day Gleason of Roseland, Va. and Mary Day Smith of Amherst, Va. and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at the HUBBARD FUNERAL HOME, INC., 4107 Wilkens Avenue, at 3 PM. The family will receive guests from 2 PM until the service. On Saturday, July 15, 2006 the interment of her ashes will be at the Gleason Family Cemetery in Roseland, Va. after a service at Rose Union Baptist Church at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in her memory to her beloved School of Nursing, University of Maryland in Baltimore where she graduated in 1948.
