Tribute
On April 9, 2018, Eleanor A. Bacon passed away at the age of 101. She was a longtime resident of New Jersey. She was greeted in her Heavenly home by both of her husbands, Horace Astle and Harold "Bac" Bacon; her son, Terrance Reeves Astle; her granddaughter, Patricia Astle Cordell; and both of her sisters, Dorothy Newman Corson and Janice Newman Schisel. Her long legacy of love is being carried on with her daughter in law, Lynda Astle; her grandson, Terrance "Rob" Astle and his wife, Dr. Joy Baldwin Astle; her great grandchildren, Victoria Cordell and Clarke Astle; her nieces and nephew, Janeane Corson Maslin, Rev. Jill Schisel Leveck, Pam Schisel, and Kevin Schisel; and many cousins and friends.
Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 from 10:30am to 11am at Epworth United Methodist Church, 600 Warren Rd, Cockeysville, MD 21030. Her funeral service will be held at 11am. Burial following in Overlook Cemetery, Bridgeton, NJ. Flowers will be graciously accepted, but donations in her memory may be directed to Pickersgill Retirement Community, c/o The Benevolent Care Fund, 615 Chestnut Ave, Baltimore, MD 21204. Memorial Services will be held at a later date in her hometown of Bridgeton, NJ at First United Methodist Church of Bridgeton, 266 Commerce Street, Bridgeton, NJ 08302 and also at Pickersgill Retirement Community.
