On May 8, 2014, Eileen M. Zindel passed away.Born in New York City on February 13, 1921 to the late Louis J. & Isabel H. Zindel she was an elementary educator for 46 years retiring as Principal of High Point Elementary School in Pasadena, MD.Eileen began her schooling in St. Henry's School, Bayonne, NJ which continued at several fine schools such as Benedictine Academy, Elizabeth, NJ, Seton Hall University, South Orange, NJ and John Hopkins University, Baltimore, MD. She was a Benedictine Sister of Elizabeth, NJ for 20 from 1938 to 1958 and later she taught in Washington, DC, Elizabeth, NJ, Cranford, NJ, Cheverly, MD and New Paltz, NY.She moved to Anne Arundel County, MD and taught there for 26 years, twenty-one of those years as Principal of High Point Elementary prior to her retirement.Eileen moved to the Charlestown Retirement Community, Catonsville, MD in April 2000.She is survived by her sister Sr. Mary Christine M.S.B.T., and dear friend Elizabeth J. Feusahrens and was predeceased by her sister Marie A. Lawrence & her brother Eugene L. Zindel.Ms. Zindel rests at the family operated HUBBARD FUNERAL HOME, INC., 4107 Wilkens Ave., Baltimore, MD 21229 where friends are invited to call on Sunday, May 11th from 3pm-5pm and at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church on Monday from 9:30am-10am with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am.Interment will follow in Glen Haven Cemetery.
