On July 29, 2013 Edward C. "Bud" Tierney, Sr., beloved husband of the Late Evelyn B Tierney died at the age 85 in Chester, Maryland. He was the son of Carrole Tierney and Catherine Ziegler Tierney, born on November 25, 1927 in Lansdowne, Maryland.
Ed graduated from Catonsville High school, and continued his education at University of Maryland. He worked as an auditor for the State of Maryland Comptroller of the Treasury office from where he retired.Upon retiring he and his wife Evelyn B Tierney move to the Easton shore.
Edward is survived by his wife Muriel Tierney; His three sisters Cecelia Thomas, Betty Owens and Barbara Buckingham, his children Edward C Tierney and his wife Josephine, His daughters Terry VonHagel, Christine Tierney Rodgers, and his son Robert Tierney, His grandchildren Steven Rodgers, Matthew C Tierney,Krystal Rodgers and 4 great grandchildren.
Mr. Tierney rests at the Hubbard Funeral Home, Inc 4107 Wilkens Avenue, Baltimore MD 21229, where friends are invited to call on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 from 2-4 pm and 6-9pm. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 11:00am in the Funeral Home. Interment in Loudon Park Cemetery. Flowers will be graciously accepted, but memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.
