On the morning of November 17, 2022, Edward G. Peck of Catonsville, MD, formerly of Elmont, N.Y. passed away at his residence at the age of 98.

Edward was born to John and Stefania Polakowski in 1924 in Brooklyn, N.Y.

He proudly served in the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II and was awarded the Air Medal for great skill, courage and ability under conditions of adverse weather and enemy opposition.

After the war he attended college and received a Bachelor's in Business Administration and Accounting from St. John's University, School of Commerce in 1949.

Upon graduating college, he married Rita Komorowski and together they raised five children in Elmont N.Y.

He began his professional career as an Internal Auditor for Singer Sewing Machines. After several years with The Singer Corporation, he went to work for Domino Sugar-Amstar Corporation, where he worked for over 30 years until his retirement.

He enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, playing cards, dancing and Polka music. He was a member of the Hi-Hatters in Brooklyn N.Y. and the Polish America Cultural Association of Port Washington, NY.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Peck, his parents John and Stefania Polakowski, his four brothers, Wallace, John, Anthony and Francis Polakowski, and his three sisters Dorothy Gordon, Stella Schlaeger and Florence Yurkowski.

He is survived by his sons Gregory, Stephen, Jonathan and David Peck, his daughter Kathryn Balch, his daughters-in-law Diane, Karen and Renee Peck, his son-in-law Thomas Balch, his grandchildren Matthew, Mark, Daniel and his wife Sun, Bethany, Nicholas, Gabrielle and Michaela Peck, Zachary and Trevor Balch, his great grandchildren Josiah and Naomi Peck, and several nieces and nephews.

After a private funeral, interment at the Cemetery of the Holy Rood in Westbury, N.Y.
