Doris May Czincilla of Ellicott City peacefully passed away at her home on December 8, 2022, with her daughter Sandi, granddaughter Dottie, and dogs PeeWee and Skippy by her side. She was 15 days short of her 97th birthday.

Doris was born in Baltimore December 23, 1925 to Nannie and Leo R. Reid, Sr. She had 2 older sisters (Pearl Reid Lindner and Sis Reid Wilson) and 3 younger brothers (Leo, Jimmy, and Buddy Reid), all who preceded her in death. She was married to William J. Czincilla who passed away 2009.

Doris had a talent for cooking, sewing, and crocheting which was passed along to her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. We continue to strive to reach her level of skill for making the fluffiest biscuits, sewing the straightest seam, and crocheting a chain of the most evenly sized stitches.

Her cooking was amazing. Everything she made was delicious. Some of our favorite Mommom dishes include pork chops with gravy, pigs in a blanket, Hungarian goulash, creole hot dogs, and whatever baked treats she made that day. No matter what she made, she would complain it was too dry, moist, crumbly, dense, or flavorless, but we all know it was always spectacular!

In her younger years she and her husband Will were always up for a party. They frequently attended events at the Knights of Columbus, VFW, and American Legion. You could count on seeing them at the American Legion on Sunday afternoons having fried chicken dinner and beer.

Doris and Will are survived by their daughter Sandi Bowman and son William J. Czincilla with wife Jackie; Granddaughter Dottie Bartell, Dottie's husband John, and great-grandchildren Mary Kate, Molly, and William; and Granddaughter Elizabeth Czincilla Clyburn, and great-grandchildren Carson and Jordan.

A private family service will be held in the Spring.
