David E. Smith, of Palm Coast, Florida passed away on Monday August 30th, 2021. He was 74. David was born November 22, 1946 in Baltimore, Maryland.
A college graduate with a master's degree, and a captain in the Army, David was an incredibly smart, devoted and hardworking man. After spending 30 years working for the federal government, David retired and moved to Florida where he enjoyed spending time in his pool and hot tub. David, known as Pop by his family, was a huge fan of the Baltimore Ravens. Pop was also a lifelong baseball fan, having season tickets to the Orioles in 1971. He loved movies and music, especially Elvis and the Beatles. The only thing he loved more than movies was the family he watched them with.
David is survived by Barbara, his wife of 49 years; his sons and their spouses, Bill and Debbie, Allen and Sandy; his daughter Margaret; and his grandchildren Cynthia, Zachary, Jeremy, David, Braeden, Abigail and Lauren.
David was preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Margaret, and brother Steve.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 22nd, 2021, from 11am-12noon at Hubbard Funeral Home, Inc. 4107 Wilkens Ave. Baltimore, MD 21229. Funeral service will follow the visitation, beginning at 12noon also at Hubbard Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow services at Garrison Forest VA Cemetery 11501 Garrison Forest Rd. Owings Mills, MD 21117, at 1:45pm.
