Daniel Edward Reichert, Jr., passed away peacefully on July 4th, 2023 at the amazing age of 100. He was born in Baltimore, Maryland on November 26, 1922, to Daniel Edward, Sr., and Catherine (nee Byers) Reichert.

Daniel is the husband to his beloved late wife, Margaret, for 50 years. He missed her terribly these last 24 years.

He is the devoted father of Sharon Chizmadia and her husband, David (Dave), and Barbara Quinn and her husband, Edwin (Eddie). He is also survived by four cherished grandchildren, Edwin (Eddie) Quinn, III and his wife Laura, Debbie Chicoli and her husband John, Brianna Anderson and Brandon Anderson and his wife Taylor; and many great grandchildren, as well as other loving relatives and friends. Daniel was preceded in passing by his sisters Doris, Bettie, Leona and Ruth and brother William.

Daniel enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in February 1943 and proceeded to take part in the invasions of Guam and Okinawa and assisted in the surrender of Japanese forces in Tsingtao, China. He was honorably discharged in 1950 and embarked on a career as a sheet metal mechanic, ultimately becoming a foreman on projects including Baltimore's World Trade Center, Johns Hopkins Hospital, and Department of Defense facilities.

Upon retiring, he devoted his time to family, friends, pets, and community.

The funeral service will be held at Hubbard Funeral Home on Saturday, July 8, with visitation from 11 am to 1 pm, and interment to follow at Loudon Cemetery. His family will be present to welcome extended family and friends.
