Charles Philip "Charlie" Nesci of�Catonsville, MD, passed away at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center on April 29, 2016, just shy of his 80th birthday.Charlie was born May 10, 1936, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, to Frank and Teresa Nesci. He graduated from Suitland High School in Suitland, MD, in 1954. He holds an AS in Business Administration from Southeastern University and a BA from Western Illinois University. On July 10, 1971, in Oxon Hill, MD, Charlie married Carol Ann Buck. Charlie provided 27 years of distinguished government service as an accountant at the Patuxent River Naval Air Station, retiring from NAVAIR in 2003.Charlie was a truly kind and happy soul who was loved by all and always had a cornball joke or story at the ready. He was an avid lover of the Chesapeake Bay, baseball (especially the Baltimore Orioles), trains, music, maps, and the Eastern Shore of Maryland.Charlie is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carol Buck Nesci; his daughter, Kimberly Ann Nesci of Potomac, MD, and her husband Peter Gehring; his son, Charles Arnold �Chuck� Nesci of Baltimore, MD, and his wife Amy Veronica Nesci (n�e Bergen); three sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; three nephews; three nieces and their spouses; and two great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Ermenia �Ernie� Sulak (n�e Nesci), his brother Franklin Nesci, his sister Rita Svec (n�e Nesci), a baby brother who shared Charlie's name, and a nephew.A service to honor and celebrate Charlie's life will be held at�9:30 am,�Friday, May 20, 2016, at the Hubbard Funeral Home on 4107 Wilkens Avenue, Baltimore, MD, 21229.Donations may be made in Charlie's name to the XLH network (https://xlhnetwork.org/index.php/donate/) or to the�Alzheimer's Association (www.alz.org).
