On September 3, 2016, August E. Rothe, "Auggie", went to be with his Lord. He is the beloved husband of the late Margaret V. (nee Quick) Rothe, loving father of Nancy A. Thayer, Bette Viessman, William C. Rothe, Sr., Debbie A. Beadenkopf, Barbara A. Wheeler and her husband Robert and Joann Jones and her husband Michael. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Auggie was an Alumnus of Maryland School for the Blind.

Mr. Rothe rests at the family operated HUBBARD FUNERAL HOME, INC., 4107 Wilkens Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21229. The family will receive guests on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 from 3-5 and 7-9 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Loudon Park Cemetery.
