Alice Anne Madera (nee Roberts), passed away on December 15th, 2022. She was a loving mother to daughters Cynthia Barlow and her husband Daniel and Margie Grasser and her husband Scott. She was pre-deceased by her son D. Thomas Abbott. She was a loving grandmother to Thomas Abbott, his wife Cristie, Benjaman Abbott, the late Timothy Abbott, Joshua Grasser, and Shannon Grasser. She leaves behind her sister Georgeen Nistico, many nieces and nephews and great grandchildren.

Alice led a very active and fun life. Her many activities included square dancing, playing card games with her many friends, crocheting, knitting, coloring, eating steamed crabs and reading. She was an awesome cook, legendary for making her Maryland crab soup, potato salad, and other great classic dishes. She was an avid Orioles and Ravens fan, and in her later years had various color streaks in her hair to show her dedication to her favorite teams. She was enjoyed for her dry wit and sense of humor.

Alice will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday December 20th, 2022 at Hubbard Funeral Home, Inc. 4107 Wilkens Ave. Baltimore, MD 21229 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm.The Funeral Service will be Wednesday December 21st, also at Hubbard Funeral Home, beginning at 11am (friends and family may gather 1 hour prior to service time). Interment will immediately follow the service at Loudon Park Cemetery.
